The Top 3 Best Podcasts For Women

Are you searching for new podcasts to listen to? Ones with meaning, humor, truth, transparency? Maybe you are just getting tired of hearing the same old, same old music and want a change? If so, let's get you into some podcasts! Here are the top 3 best podcasts for women to listen to.

Why Listen To Podcast?

When I first started listening to podcasts, I was pretty resistant to them. I didn't want to give up my music. I thought the music is what pumped me up in the morning or put me in a better mood while driving to work.

Then, my life coach challenged me to change up my routine. She didn't specifically say how, she was just trying to get me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.

My morning routine was pretty set in stone. You know the saying, "If my morning routine gets messed up somehow, that's the precursor to the rest of my day." So, my routine was pretty strict in the morning because I felt this, and I didn't want to have a bad day.

I'm a very routine and planned person so this was much harder than I thought it was going to be. So as I was racking my brain on what in the world I could possibly change, I thought about my morning routine.

It was getting pretty boring and I needed a little more inspiration during that time. That's when the idea of listening to podcasts instead of music during my drive to work bloomed.

So, I went in search of podcasts to start listening to which was pretty easy. I had been following this biohacker for a while and knew he had a podcast. I started with his podcast and have gained a couple more since then.

Podcasts For Women #1: Bulletproof Radio With Dave Asprey

The first podcast I listened to when I first switched up my routine was Bulletproof Radio by Dave Asprey.

I chose this one because I had already been following Dave with his books and on social media for a while. I enjoyed what he had to say and I was learning a ton from him already.

I felt like this was a natural way to introduce me to podcasts.

Two years later, I am still listening to his podcasts.

What Dave has created is so wonderful, inspirational, educational, and transparent. His podcast and what he talks about is what this world NEEDS to be talking about. We need a healthier world with healthier people. This is Dave's mission. He wants to give you up-to-date facts and technology that can help you live your best life.

Each week, Dave comes out with two new episodes usually about an hour or so in length and a shorter episode lasting around 15-30 minutes.

He brings guests to his show and interviews them about their expertise. Many of them have a huge following, published books, practices, etc.

These guests are not ordinary either. They are a part of the biohacking community. They all have the same goal. They want to share their information with you so you can start to feel better. They are on a mission to make the world a healthier place.

I've learned so much, not only from Dave but from the guest he brings on. I actually have an Amazon book list where I put all the books his guest have written. So, not only am I learning from them, I'm prolonging my learning by picking up a book and applying what they taught me.

Dave and his guests are so transparent and authentic. They bring you real facts, science, personal experiences, and more.

Dave also gives out great discounts on his episodes for things that he has tried, recommends you use, and products that will make you feel better. This is also a great bonus.

You can find Dave and Bulletproof Radio anywhere podcasts are played, I use Spotify. But it is also on Apple, iHeart, and Google Podcasts.

Podcasts For Women #2: Drama Queens

Now, this is a "tasty" one as they would say on the podcast.

My guilty pleasure is the show One Tree Hill. It first aired in 2003 when I was 13 years old. I didn't start watching it then but when high school hit... I was so into it!

I've watched all 9 seasons multiple times. I have all seasons on DVD and thank God for Hulu... because I watch it on there, too.

Well, the three beautiful ladies who are the main characters in One Tree Hill started a podcast called Drama Queens.

And you'll never guess... it is now a guilty pleasure! I absolutely love their episodes. It is so much fun!

Sophia (Brooke Davis), Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), and Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley James) take you through one episode of the show each week. They each watch the episode to be talked about on their podcast and just really dive deep into it including behind-the-scenes things that you never knew happened. It's funny and entertaining. But they also get real about things as well. When I mean behind the scenes, I mean all of it. Things that happened, emotions, everything. Every podcast episode, I learn something that happened on the show or I'm shocked about something or I laugh out loud.

I've really enjoyed my "me" time when it comes to listening to one of their podcast episodes, lasting about an hour or so, and then watching the episode of the show. It's been a nice break in my week from the hustle and bustle of life.

Once I've listened to the episode that week, I like to watch that episode so I can notice the things they are talking about or laugh at parts that they laughed at.

Now, might I add, this is the first time they are watching themselves on One Tree Hill as well. So, it's a truly authentic experience. I can't even imagine watching myself on a TV drama from almost 20 years ago.

At the end of each episode, they also pull some things from the audience on social media. They do a "Who is most likely to" and answer some of the audience questions from their platforms.

It is just a truly beautiful, funny, and enjoyable podcast. So, if you are looking for some entertainment and you are a One Tree Hill fan or are curious about One Tree Hill... you should check this women-powered podcast out, Drama Queens. I use Spotify but it is available anywhere you can listen to podcasts.

Podcast For Women #3- The Confident Woman

The Confident Woman is a truly inspirational podcast for women. It's raw, transparent, and authentic.

Their episodes involve a mixture of things. They have interviews but they also have ideas, concepts, women empowerment discussions.

I enjoy this podcast not only because it is run by women but because of the content. They drop one episode a week and the length can be anywhere between 15 mins to an hour.

This is actually something I really appreciate about this podcast. The Confident Woman is light, refreshing and so inspirational.

It is just the boost of inspiration I need each week. They remind you to be true to yourself, that you need to be taking care of yourself. You can literally FEEL the passion coming through the microphone as you listen to each episode. They genuinely want you to love yourself and the world around you.

When you have self-doubts, which we all get, listening to an episode of The Confident Woman can lift you right out of it. These women remind you that it's okay to love yourself, it's okay to want what you want, and it's so empowering to be a woman today.

The topics discussed are super relevant. They challenge you to question your thinking patterns. And let's face it, we all need that because we can get stuck in our own heads.

If you are interested in listening to REAL people discuss relevant topics pertaining to things you are going through such as body image, relationships, fitness, and more check out The Confident Woman. I listen on Spotify but it's available on many other platforms.
